Project Overview & Concept
This project was created for The New York Coffee Festival, which annually takes place at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. My goal for this project was to re-design the festival in a way that targets New York, coffee lovers. New York is a city that never sleeps so coffee correlates perfectly with the need for caffeinated city members. I wanted to communicate this festival for all types of people who appreciate art, culture, music, food, and of course coffee. To attract like-minded people that enjoy everything this festival has to offer, I wanted to use a statue of liberty blue-green colour to represent the city of New York and a coffee tone palette to capture the essence of the coffee culture in NYC. As well as having bold typography followed by supporting illustrations and imagery to emphasize the overall look and feel of the festival. I wanted it to appeal to those who have never been before as well as those who are regulars.
